Skunky Sweatshirt!

Autumn temperatures call for bundling up, and the Caveman was lacking some much needed sweatshirts for outdoor playtime. However, he was not impressed by my purchase of a cheap, plain, sage green sweatshirt from Big Lots. The Caveman and Dreamer are both lovers of animals, so, with the scrounging up of some black and white knit fabric scraps from the recesses of my sewing cabinet, the skunk motif was born!

1. Cut out the skunk components

2. Arrange and pin fabric pieces to the center front panel of the sweatshirt. Tip: be certain to use as many pins as it takes to hold down the design and avoid the fabric moving and pulling while sewing.

3. Sew the edges of each fabric piece using a zig zag or blanket stitch.

4. Attach a button for an eye.

5. Wear!
